These root duvets form a mulch blanket which insulates the roots of your plants and provides a form of weed control. Made from old wool which would otherwise be landfilled, the raw material comes from many sources, often old jumpers. It is shredded and the fibres bonded onto a corn starch film and the woolly blanket is then cut into circles to put round your plants.
The duvets can be placed on the soil around the plant, protecting the roots from pests and frost and helping to retain moisture.
The duvet gradually biodegrades into a compost which you can then dig into the garden.
Size: Pack includes 3 woolly duvets - 25cm in diameter. Each duvet has a slit cut into it to enable it to be wrapped around a plant already in the ground or in a pot.
