Slug & Snail Shocka! roll is a unique copper coated fabric which acts as a barrier to slugs and snails. Slugs and snails avoid materials containing copper as it causes them discomfort and they therefore stay away. Also weeds do not grow on Slug & Snail Shocka! and it helps to keep the moisture in the soil.
Safe for children, pets and wildlife.
Re-usable - lasts for several years and widely used by professional growers.
How do you use it?
Slug & Snail Shocka! is easy to use and can be used to protect all plants including fruit, vegetables, and flowers. It is supplied as a sheet 30cm wide and 1.5 metres long so that it can be cut to a size to suit your needs.
Ensure the following before laying down Slug & Snail Shocka!:
Slugs and snails are removed from plants to be protected.
Plants in pots - remove any slug or snail eggs (small white balls) within the pot. They are usually found in clumps near to the edge of pots.
Slug & Snail Shocka! must be laid with dark side facing upwards.
Do not allow plant leaves to hang over the edge of the fabric as slugs and snails may bridge over this area.
Ensure that there is no debris on the fabric, e.g. soil & leaves, as this reduce its effect as a barrier.
Where to use: Under pots: Cut out a mat to a size ensuring that there is a 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) barrier.
Around individual plants: Cut out a square large enough to protect the whole plant. Create a collar by cutting on one side into the centre of the square and make small slits in the centre. Place around plant.
In and around rows of plants: Can be used in long lengths, cut stars into fabric at the required planting distance in the row and then plant through the cuts.
