I won't use chemical slug pellets, after inadvertently poisoning two baby hedgehogs some years ago. And the battle since against slugs and snails has been long and mostly ineffective. Last year I bought copper rings, and they helped a bit. But copper rings filled with Slug Buggers - that's another matter. They're wonderful!
I like the fact that everyone gains - farmers, the manufacturer, Green Trading Company - and something useful is made of a waste product. But more than that, I like the fact that they appear to work! Am just ordering my second container. Don't know where I heard about the delightfully named Slug Buggers, but am very glad I did.
